The Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA) recently honored Fifty-Five Mjejane with the title of Benchmark Property, as announced in the latest issue of the TGCSA Corner newsletter. This recognition comes shortly after the lodge achieved a prestigious 5-star grading, establishing it as a premier destination for luxury accommodation in South Africa.
Benchmark properties recognised by the TGCSA are esteemed for their exceptional product offerings, irrespective of their star grading category. These establishments are highlighted for inclusion in South African Tourism’s itineraries, promoting inclusive growth by integrating emerging businesses and encouraging travel across diverse regions of the country.
“It’s such a privilege to be identified as a benchmark property, as this is testament to our exceptionally appointed lodge.” Says, Amy van Emmenis, spokesperson for Fifty-Five Mjejane, “The architecture of our lodge draws inspiration from the flora and fauna of the area as well as its historically Zulu architecture – staying true to the history of the land. The lodge pays homage to the original settlers of the land and their Zulu culture, without compromising on luxury”.
